CLINICAL
PILATES
Mullumbimby Exercise Physiology & Pilates is a fully equipped Pilates Studio incorporating the Pilates Reformer, Cadilac and Wonder Chair equipment.
To get started, we begin with an initial Musculoskeletal Assessment to determine an exercise program specific to your needs and level of ability, and to correct muscle imbalances.
The advantages of working with the Pilates equipment include:
Exercises can be performed while being fully supported without undue loading to the spine and supporting joints.
The equipment offers very specific and precise exercises for rehabilitation of the spine.
Core training is incorporated into every exercise and can cater for clients from beginner to advanced.
Exercises can incorporate the use of the bigger global muscles and challenge the joint stabilisers to ensure you have an optimal function and postural awareness.
SPORTS PERFORMANCE
Using the equipment can make positive improvements in sports performance for Dancers, Surfers, Rowers, Golfers and Swimmers.
NEW BRAIN
PATHWAYS
The Equipment challenges you to open other neural pathways to perform movements ensuring new patterns are learned and transferred to functional movements.
